Here's the third image in the process. Adding more flesh tones to the face. Trying to establish both warm and cool values without going too dark or too light. Correcting the drawing all the while.
One more thing for today, a suggested read. "The Lost Painting, The Quest For A Caravaggio Masterpiece" by Jonathan Harr. I just finished it last week. What a great read! I love Caravaggio. Also there was an article in todays Times about how he is passing Michelangelo (the other Michelangelo - he of the Sistine) in popularity lately.
